The Creator Is Not Far Away. Here’s How to Feel It
Mar 01, 2026
Throughout the history of humanity, every culture and religion has spoken about a creative source: a fountain from which life itself emerges. Human beings have tried to define, prove and explain it. Some have imagined it as something distant, far away in the heavens. Others have argued about its existence.
But our indigenous ancestors carried a very different understanding.
They recognized this creative power not as something distant, but as something experiencing itself in everything that exists. They called it many names: the Great Spirit, Quetzalcóatl, Tonantzin, Pachamama, but the essence remained the same.
They said this source is Love. The force that serves unconditionally. The force that gives life. The force that sustains everything with purpose.
The elders saw that every tree, every star, every bird, every human being is an experience of this love. And so are we.
We are not separate from it.

Many of us grew up hearing about God as something far away, somewhere above, distant and unreachable.
But our ancestors would say: the Great Spirit is inside, outside, above, below. It is in every atom of your body. It is in every particle of everything that exists. Everything that happens is directed by this fountain of life.
The question then becomes: how do we feel it?
How do we experience this presence, not as an idea, but as something real?
The elders would say: you must be present.
The Great Spirit inhabits only the present. And from the present, it becomes eternal.
Yet most of us are lost in our minds, and we are rarely present. And our mind is strongly influenced by the ego. It constantly inhabits the past or the future. It tries to resolve, interpret, defend, control.
And in doing so, it pulls us away from the majestic experience that exists here and now.
So the teaching of the elders was simple: go to your heart.
How Do I Know I Am in My Heart?
You know you are in your heart because of what you feel.
What feels beautiful.
What brings peace.
What generates gratitude.
That is the heart.
Judgment, anger, pride, fear, sadness, these are also experiences of the Creator, but through the ego. They are not “bad.” They are part of the dual design of life. But they exist outside of time, and they pull us away from presence.
The elders would say: you can choose.
You can choose the experience of life you want to inhabit.
When you align your thoughts with your heart: when you think beautifully, when you cultivate gratitude, when you recognize the blessings you already have, something shifts immediately. You begin to witness a harmony flowing through you.
That harmony is the presence of the Creator.
This is not abstract. It is incredibly practical.
- When you eat something delicious and you pause and say, “Wow, this is good,” and you become conscious of the pleasure, there you are feeling the Creator.
- When you sit on a comfortable couch after a long day and you become aware of the warmth, the softness, the rest in your body, there you are feeling the Creator.
- When you see your children laugh and you inhabit that moment fully, there you are feeling the Creator.
When you laugh.
When you cry and feel the release.
When you feel gratitude.
It is not far away. It is here.
The practice is to become a witness. And to say inwardly: “I feel you”, to establish a conscious dialogue with this infinite fountain of love. Over time, that dialogue becomes natural, continuous and intimate.
Transforming Density
And what about when we feel fear, or anger, or sadness?
The elders did not deny these experiences.
Instead, they prayed.
They would say: “All Creator, please transform this fear with your love.”
And then they would go to the heart.
Going to the heart means not feeding the density. It means not lingering in anger or fear. It means choosing to direct life toward well-being.
If I am overwhelmed, I might choose to watch something that makes me laugh.
If I am heavy, I might put on music that uplifts me.
This is not denial. It is direction.
Little by little, you begin to hold your energy instead of draining it. You stop feeding the void. You begin to save your strength.
And daily life transforms. Simple moments become sacred. Ordinary experiences become communion.
Over time, this becomes a way of life.
You begin to feel the Creator flowing through your words when you comfort someone. Through your laughter. Through your kindness. Through your presence.
You become an instrument of love.
And even when density arises, you know what to do. You pray. You go to your heart. You choose gratitude. You transform.
The elders would say: this is to walk a prayer.
Not to speak about love. But to live in such a way that your actions, your well-being, your laughter speak of it.
And slowly, your life becomes a dialogue with the source of love that has always been there.
A SEED TO CARRY
Every moment is an invitation. The next time you feel peace, gratitude, warmth, or joy, even in something small, stay there a little longer. Witness it.
And when density arises, gently return to your heart and choose again.
To walk this path is not to search for love. It is to recognize it.
